Chinle Municipal Airport (E91) is a public-use, general aviation airport located approximately four miles southwest of the central business district of Chinle, Arizona. Chinle Municipal is one of the existing Navajo Nation primary airports currently in use that is owned and operated by the Nation.
Chinle Municipal has one paved runway designated as Runway 18/36. The runway is 6,902 feet long and 60 feet wide. The runway lighting and visual guidance aids (PAPI) can be controlled by pilots using the common traffic advisory frequency (CTAF) of 122.9. Aircraft operations are mostly comprised of air taxi and transient general aviation operations due to the airport's close proximity to Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The airport offers aircraft parking tie-downs for local and transient aircraft.
