Window Rock Airport (RQE) is a public-use, general aviation airport located approximately two miles south of the central business district of Window Rock, Arizona. Window Rock Airport is one of the existing Navajo Nation primary airports currently in use that is owned and operated by the Nation.
The Window Rock Airport is at an elevation of 6,750 feet and covers an area of 88 acres. The airport has one paved runway designated as Runway 2/20 and is 7,000 feet long and 75 feet wide. The runway lighting can be controlled by pilots using the common traffic advisory frequency (CTAF) of 122.8. The airport offers aircraft parking tie-downs for local and transient aircraft, aviation fuel, and a small terminal building. The airport averages about 5,000 general aviation aircraft operations per year.
