An extensive public outreach program will provide the Navajo Nation and the local Chapters an opportunity to participate in the NNASMP process. The public outreach program will encourage information sharing and collaboration among the Navajo Nation, airport users and tenants, resource agencies, elected and appointed public officials, community members, and the general public. A dedicated public outreach team is commited to providing community outreach services, including a proficient Navajo language translator.

May 15, 2016: FInal Report and Summaries now available
The NNASMP has been finalized and all airport ALPs have been approved by the FAA. In addition, an overall NNASMP excutive summary, as well as individual project airport executive summaries, are now available. This marks the end of the project, and now the real work can begin. The final report and executive summaries can be found on the Program Documents page. 

May 15, 2015: The Draft Final Report is now availbale
The Draft Final Report is now availble for review on the Working Papers page. This draft final contains all chapters, exhibits, ALP drawings, and appendices. 

March 27, 2015: Working Paper No. 3 and final PAC meeting details are now available
Working Paper No. 3, which includes the capital improvement plans for each airport and the financial funding sources and implementation plan for the Study as a whole, is now avaialable for review. You will find this final working paper on the Program Documents page - under Working Papers.

Also, information regarding the final PAC meeting is now avaialble. Within the last year, many meetings have taken place and much work has been accomplished. We are now requesting your participation in the FINAL phase of NNASMP.  An Open House is scheduled, at the Navajo DOT Complex on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.  Mr. Arlando Teller, Program Manager, and the Consultant Team will be available between these hours to personally present the findings of the study, share the program, and discuss the draft Airport Layout Plans for each airport in the Study.  The Open House will again engage the community in the future plans for the critical Navajo Nation airport system and again ask for your input, comments, and recommendations.  Please save the date for this FINAL important gathering. 

March 9, 2015: Working Paper 3 and Draft Final documents coming soon
Great progress has been made over the past nine to ten months with the NNASMP. Working Paper No. 3, which will include the capital improvement plans for each airport and the financial funding sources and implementation plan for the Study as a whole, will be available for review in early April. Following Working Paper No. 3 will be the Draft Final report, which is expected to be completed in early May for review. 

The final PAC meeting will also be held in early April. More information regarding the final PAC meeting will also be posted shortly. 

December 22, 2014: Afternoon presentation shown during week long NDOT Regional Transportation Meetings now available

November 12, 2014: Save the dates for upcoming NDOT Regional Transportation Planning Meetings during the week of December 15th-19th
The Navajo Division of Transportation is conducting a series of Regional Transportation Planning meetings to be held at the NDOT Complex in Tse Bonito, NM the week of December 15th-19th. Each Agency is assigned a different day of the week to discuss transportation planning related topics, including the airports part of the Navajo Nation Airport System Master Plan. The consultant team will give a presentation, as well as facilitate a question-answer session with those in attendance; this will take place during the afternnon session between 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm each day. The schedule for the week-long workshop sessions is as follows:

October 6, 2014: A second Planning Advisory Commitee (PAC) Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th, 2014.
Two disticnt groups will meet for the next scheduled PAC meeting on October 15, 2014, in Tse Bonito, NM at the Navajo DOT Transportation Complex - the Information Sub-committee and the Technical Sub-committee - to provide feedback and guidance on the Draft Working Paper No.1.

July 14, 2014: Chapter House Workshops have been scheduled.
