Shiprock Airstrip (5V5) is a public-use, general aviation airport located approximately six miles south of the central business district of Shiprock, New Mexico. Shiprock Airstrip is one of the existing Navajo Nation primary airports currently in use that is owned and operated by the Nation.
The airport has one paved runway designated as Runway 2/20. The runway is 4,840 feet long and 75 feet wide. The airport uses the common traffic advisory frequency (CTAF) of 122.9. Aircraft operations are mostly comprised of transient general aviation operations. The airport offers aircraft parking tie-downs for local and transient aircraft.
